Public Relations

Brandon A. Mott is a dedicated veteran advocate, community leader, and public communicator who serves as Adjutant of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Unit 15 in Monroe County, New York. He holds a Ph.D. in Forensic Pathomology, a Master’s in Public Planning, and a Master’s in Public Relations with a concentration in Emergency Communications. Combining academic expertise with real-world experience, Brandon brings strategic processes and stern advocacy to inspire veterans not to misjudge the ever-changing political and moral issues that shape our current political and social climate. His work helps veterans and their families navigate vital services with dignity, clarity, and understanding—while empowering veterans’ organizations and individual veterans to present their best in the media and public eye.

Within the DAV Auxiliary, Brandon has helped modernize outreach, strengthen partnerships, and expand community impact across Monroe County and beyond. His leadership extends through ROCVeterans.org, an online resource he supports that connects veterans and their families to guided resources and community connections 24/7/365. His work has helped unite more than 17 veteran and community organizations, improving access to care, transportation, and engagement for veterans of all abilities. Guided by the belief that service extends beyond the uniform, he continues to build bridges between the veteran community and the broader public through collaboration, education, and leadership development.

After a rewarding government career in Washington, D.C., and an early background in emergency management, Brandon and his partner discovered a shared passion for hospitality and chose to make Rochester their home. He is also the founder of Bmore Media, a communications consulting company that helps organizations and individuals refine what they say and how they say it—ensuring tone and meaning are never lost in the message. Through Bmore Media, Brandon provides free to low-cost services to nonprofit veteran organizations and to veterans pursuing leadership opportunities, helping them elevate their message, strengthen their impact, and lead with authenticity. Today, he remains involved in many new endeavors throughout Monroe County and surrounding communities—continuing to serve, uplift, and empower others through connection, creativity, and purpose.
