Jewish War Veterans Post 41

Post 41 is the local echelon of the JWV and was established June 12, 1932 in Rochester NY. The JWV Post 41 advocates for America’s 17 million veterans regardless of race, religion, or gender. The JWV is also a voice against hatred and bigotry wherever the source and whomever the target.

The JWV supports Israel’s right to exist but does not engage in partisan politics (endorsing candidates for elected office) in the United States or with any other country.

Post 41 has a distinguished history of over 90- years in Rochester NY and Monroe County. For example, two local members have served as national commander of the JWV – Lawrence Schulman during the period from 2007 to 2008 and Gary Ginsburg from 2024 to 2025.

Post 41 has supported many local veteran centric events and also donated volunteer hours and money for several non - for profit entities such as the Veterans Outreach Center, Brighton NY food cupboard, the Finger Lakes System of the US Department of Veterans Affairs, West Point NY Jewish Chapel, Honor Flight of Rochester NY and many more.
